Sitting alongside Rival Sons, Crobot etc, Monster Truck are another damn good example of how newer bands can tune back to an era where cool ass riffing and big ol’ vocals drove Rock, and still manage to make it sound good without ever completely mimicking their idols. Its their love of retro that gives this album its charm, its big and confident, and really gives you a sense of nostalgia.
